  • nike_mercurial_superfly_iv_salesFor the first time ever, Nike today released all four of their famed silos—Mercurial, Hypervenom II, Magista and Tiempo Legend V—with rich kangaroo leather. Together,  they’re dubbed the Tech Craft Pack, and needless to say, they look stunning.

Nike has taken a super soft kangaroo leather upper and laid it over the top of the original upper of their Nike Leather Tech Craft Pack cleats. Players will enjoy the amazing touch and feel of leather alongside all of the revolutionary technology that we have come to know and expect from Nike cleats.

“Tech Craft encompasses our ‘no-compromise’ philosophy,” says Nathan VanHook, Nike Football Senior Design Director.

“Players don’t have to choose between materials like Flyknit and leather; they can have the benefits of both in one premium pair of boots.”

A Dynamic Fit Collar and a Flywire upper hugs the ankle, making the cleat feel like it is an extension of your leg. Flywire cables run up the sides of the cleat adding support and a locked in fit. The extra leather layer provides a snug fit for your foot, softens any touch, and keeps its shape during play, even in the harshest of environments.

A carbon fiber outsole combines with a hidden heel counter in the upper to create a comfortable fit, built to last you 90+ minutes. The split-toe design isolates the big toe and first metatarsal to help enhance your agility and pace.

Playmaking is reborn with this kangaroo leather covered Magista Obra. The Obra has a Flyknit upper with supportive Brio cables that lock the foot in place. The Brio cables and leather create a touch that can’t be compared.

Compressed nylon and Pebax (a nylon based plastic) make up the outsole. This material allows the outsole to flex naturally with the foot while still maintaining stability. Conical studs allow for easy turns and take offs.

Nikeskin mesh and kangaroo leather combine to create a one of a kind fit and feel that can only be found in a Hypervenom. This never-before-seen upper utilizes Magwire to help hug the foot like a sock. The softness of the leather with the cushioned feel of the mesh makes for a great touch.

A combination of conical and bladed studs provide incredible traction. The lightweight outsole reduces weight while still maintaining support. The split-toe outsole design allows for a more barefoot feel when accelerating and sprinting.

The Nike Tech Craft Pack is an absolute game-changer, combining the best of both worlds — modern innovation with the classic performance of leather and supreme style to boot.

It’s never easy to replace a beloved boot. The original Hypervenom achieved success despite veering so far from the T90. So, could the second generation continue in such a fantastic mold and continue Nike’s unparalleled success? Snagging its own dynamic fit collar and looking very little like its predecessor, it's an intriguing one.

The goal for Nike with the Cheap Nike Hypervenom is to create a dynamic boot, a boot that offers the tools required to perform, and to do so with the highest level of comfort, traction and fit possible. Taking cues from the original Phantom while still crafting a boot that is certainly an original, the newest Phantom offers a massive striking surface, a redesigned Dynamic Fit Collar, and all of Nike’s recent tech advances rolled into one complete boot. How does it perform? Strap yourself in...

The first thing that strikes you with the Nike Hypervenom II is the stark contrast from the top of the boot to the jagged colours that run from halfway down the boot to the soleplate. Despite being launched in a "TOtal orange", the boot is still LOUD. The bright orange with black speckles on the bottom half is the only homage to the original Phantom that you can really see from the boot, but it's certainly a very bright homage.

Moving beyond how the boot looks and down to the important aspects of the boot, the first thing everyone will notice is the new Dynamic Fit Collar. Unlike all the other boots with Nike’s “shiny toy” tech, the Phantom II 2015 is only FlyKnit for the collar and the tongue. Taking a few notes from complaints that Nike saw with the Obra and SuperFly, the rubber strip has been removed down the middle of the collar to prevent chafing/blistering. Out of all the boots with a collar up to this point, the Phantom II’s collar is the most comfortable.

Despite a lot of durability problems from the original Phantom and the ultra-soft nature of the NikeSkin on those boots, the new HyperVenom II feels like it may be the most durable of all of Nike’s collared efforts and should last players using the boots on the designated surfaces (FG/SG/AG) for at least a full season. Fitting wise? True to size for us and actually fairly accommodating to most foot types.

  • cheap-nike-lightning-storm-hypervenom-green-2016After a brief appearance at the end of last season following the launch of the second generation boot, the Nike Hypervenom II Phantom comes out swinging for the 2015/16 season with a punchy "Green Strike" outfit.

A theme that runs throughout the Lightning Pack is the simplistic but mightily bold two-tone colour design which gives the Nike Hypervenom II 2015 a distinct and unmissable set of aesthetics on-pitch when you consider the key players that will be lacing up in the boot. That "Green Strike" upper will be a stark contrast in line with the home kits of Neymar, Rooney, Lewandowski and co and that points to a strong on pitch presence.

The edgy Hypervenom II pattern that runs along the medial side of the boot is finished in jet black and the Dynamic Fit Collar is designed to match the eccentric "Green Strike" upper. Tech wise the Hypervenom II stands away from the Superfly IV and Magista Obra as it mixes the FlyKnit collar with an enhanced mesh upper and NikeSkin rather than using FlyKnit throughout the upper and build of the boot.
